Claudia Chan On Marketing To Women
May 20, 2010
“Your marketing needs to create an emotional connection to be memorable” says Claudia Chan, president of Shecky’s, which she describes as a women’s entertainment marketing company.
Chan was the keynote speaker at Linda Hollander’s 8th annual Women’s Smal Business Expo, a day-long empowerment event held in Los Angeles last month. She discussed ‘Marketing in the New Economy’.
Shecky’s claim to fame is its Girls Night Out shopping extravaganzas in major cities around the country. It works with 1,200 companies and gives out 150,000 goodie bags a year, worth $75 to $100 apiece. “They’re a marketing vehicle for our clients,” says Chan, nothing that recipients like to swap the content among themselves.”
