Zum Schneider Bavarian Beer House
Is this an indoor beer garden? Nein! It’s a biergarten. With a dozen German beers on tap and a welcoming, airy atmosphere to boot, this is a fantastic stop for a stein of suds. But with Kräuterquark mit Pellkartoffeln ($11), Organischer Schweinebraten ($17), and Gegrillte Forelle ($16) on the menu, Zum Schneider will quickly have you saying, “Uhhh….I’ll have the $13 three-sausage platter.” Want to keep it simple? Stop by for brunch and try the $6 Eierpfannkuchen, which is pancakes stuffed with apple sauce and/or jam. Sure, the Germans are a hearty bunch, but they know a deal when they see one. The few outdoor tables provide a touch of nature, as does sitting indoors under the giant tree branches lining the ceiling.

Great place for beer!

I’m not a meat eater and most of what Zum Schneider has to offer does consist something in line of Sausage, beef or both, but I do enjoy my beer and this is a great place for that. Many different beers on tap, my favorite is their wheat beers with a slice of lemon. The offer three different sizes, Small, Medium and large, so that way you can if you want create your own little beer tasting with many different small sized beers or enjoy your favorite in a very large glass. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the only minuses with this place is that it gets very crowed and that they gave to close the outdoors at 11pm. Visit this place and be sure to experience a more European scene while enjoying great beer in a comfortable setting.

Although it may seem unassuming at first, this haven for beer lovers was the perfect place to spend the late afternoon with my girlfriends. The service was friendly and knowledgable about all the beers on tap. Not being a fan of German cuisine, I was hestitant to order anything, but after my girlfriend forced me to try the pancakes, which I absolutely loved. I will definitely be returning to this neighborhood joint. Perhaps next time with a date!

Good Beer Great Food

Excelent food, good beer, very nice people to share common tables with. The only drawback is that it is often crowded (but thats ok for all the reasons listed above:)
