Zoë Townhouse: At Zoë SoHo, downtown kids can disguise themselves as mature uptown adults. At Zoë's (older) sister’s house on the Upper East Side, there’s no questioning the identity of the upscale Park Avenue crowd, but this spot is a bit different. The structure is casual, graceful, and touched with brown suede comfy chairs with pots of sunflowers, and all of that does tone down the stuffiness, relatively speaking. You can class it up here if you want to impress. The drinks, mainly wine and house cocktails such as the Townhouse Sangria made with Ruby Port and Orange Curacao, are the attractions. One thing’s for sure, with full glasses of wine hitting the $18 mark, you better bring your “adult” credit card. If not, you may be in for a half glass night. |
