Zipper Factory Tavern: Sure, the show must go on, but you'll get that much closer to "breaking a leg" with a vodka martini in hand. That's just part of the concept of this revamped zipper factory that seems to be single-handedly reviving the far-western stretches of the garment district (aka West Bumblef*ck). The cozy gastropub appears small and quaint from the front, but step past the bar and the rooms keep coming, along with a mezzanine where you can booze and peruse the spectacle below. Take our word for it, lots of guy-watches-girl action goes on at every corner. Better yet, check out the connecting Zipper Factory Theater, where management books whatever off off (and sometimes really off) Broadway talent suits their eclectic fancy. And the hefty beer menu might just guarantee a little late night 'unzipping.' |
