Woody McHale's: What you see is what you get at Woody's, which just opened last week. In the former Cabin bar sits this subterranean lodge meets sports bar where log cabin-like walls hold two flat screen TVs behind the very small bar, plus a large plasma screen. Comfort food is served, and the narrow back room is good for private parties. The gruff, muscle-bound crowd hanging around at the door looks like trouble, but pick a fight here and you’ll probably lose and end up in the clink. The jukebox can literally be reached from the end of the bar and from it flows classic rock with a little alt rock too. Oddly, well-poured pints of Guinness go for $4 as does Bud Light. Yes, that makes for a pretty easy decision. |
