Wogie's Bar and Grill: Intended to be a little slice of Philadelphia in the Big Apple, Wogie’s serves up delicious cheese steak sandwiches and wings, which you and a few friends can wash down with a cheap bucket of Rheingold for only $15. Some outdoor seating is available, but when the game’s on, everyone will be piled in, waiting with bated breath for the final buzzer. It’s no sports bar, though, and despite the frat boy name, the chill atmosphere is surprisingly lady-friendly. Wogie’s houses a pretty tame, after-work crowd—even the edgiest kids in this joint look like recovering preppies. The high-backed booths provide a little privacy, but not too private—when those buckets start stacking up, you’ll have gotten to know everybody in this friendly corner bar. |
