Woo-hoo! A happy hour for people who don’t have to work at 9am. Hit Whiskey Ward on a Monday or Tuesday night between midnight and 3am, and you’ll be rewarded with rock-bottom late-night happy hour specials served by fantastic bartenders. Check out the Knock Out Drop ($6), a shot of tequila and whiskey that has late-morning snooze button written all over it. If you aren’t feeling that bold, stick with The Parker—for $6 comes a Pabst and a shot of Wild Turkey or Jack. Feel like swirling a good Scotch or sipping a fine whiskey? They have you covered with an extensive selection of the browns. Hot spiced cider does well in the winter, and sangria ($15-$25) is served year-round.
I may have been a bit overdressed with my black pumps and cocktail dress, but thats really my only complaint. Needless to say, my boyfriend loved the selection of scotches. He fancies himself a connaisseur. I myself enjoyed playing a round of pool with the boys, while I pretended my feet weren't killing me. It was not as swanky as the places I usually patronize, but one night out with the boys is ok every now and then, especially at a fun place like this!
