Wetbar @ W Hotel- The Court: In LA, hotel bars actually are the places to be. And while the dimly lit Wet Bar is super glam, it retains an element of meat-market cheese common to NYC hotel bars. In LA, it’s also common to overtly check out lounging neighbors and incoming faces. At Wet Bar, you will be openly assessed and judged. Are you somebody? Should I know you? If you have money to burn or have clients to impress, Wet Bar can be a snooty good time. One perk is being able to reserve a table without having to pay for a hideously overpriced bottle. However, you can be dropping mad green and the über-bitch waitress will still bounce you from your well-deserved seat. Remember, if she were somebody she’d be drinking rather than serving you. Like other W Hotel bars, Wet Bar looks good in dark, minimalist décor. Just make sure you look good in it. |
