Webster Hall
This multilevel venue can seem a lot like a teenager who is going through a metal, indie rock, pop, and rebellious phase—all at the same time. Webster Hall searches for its true identity every night by offering live music (polar opposites like the Bravery, Avril Lavigne, Tegan & Sara), an amateur strip contest, Playgirl’s Night Out, and Saturday night’s Sexy Singles Auction. This mish-mash of events can be downright disturbing; inside, the marble stairs, intricate carvings, and low lighting are reminiscent of a haunted mansion. Lines form around the block for the all-ages punk shows, making the plastic wristband a coveted accessory. All of this dichotomy might make you dizzy; so down their Apprentice “You’re Hired” Ice Shot, kiss your 19-year-old date goodnight, and call it a night.

not to shabby

I have been to this club a number of times and had a great time. Yes there are some forward guys but hey thats almost every club and bar. If your there to have a good time with the girls or friends it shouldn't matter! I recommend the vip area for only 70 bucks you can get open bar for top shelf and not worry about the crowds!

If you like being manhandled in trashy, ghetto clu

Went there for New Years Eve last night... After purchasing $135 tickets in advance for a 6 hour open bar and waiting on line to enter, we were pretty pissed to see non-ticket holders purchase tix for $125 and walk right in.The fact I was frisked and searched upon entry also should have tipped me off to the evening I was about to have. If you are from Jersey and have spiked hair, you will fit right in. The place was so oversold you could barely move. Do to a scuffle on the barely moving staircase, my girlfriend and I were literally picked up and thrown out of the bar. We watched as they threw another girl out after us. The police were on the street casually watching as the meat head bouncers actually threw the girl into the wooden barricades. It was a cheesy ghetto crowd, and the bouncers were nothing more than thugs. The only reason the club is still around is because of the steady flow of tourists and the B&T crowd. It's one of the worst places I've ever been.

Memories

Sweaty, overly forward men on the dance floor, wet T-shirt contests, the good old days...
