If you’re tired of washing down that pre-flight Xanax with lukewarm beer in some cheesy themed restaurant, you’ll be thrilled to learn that waiting just got some much needed class in the form of Vino Volo at JFK. Once you get past security check, pat yourself on the back and get loaded on wine flights such as the Sommelier Series or Celebration Sparklers ($6-$44 per glass/flight) and load up on the small plates (think smoked salmon rolls as well as meat and cheese platters) that are bound to be better than your in-flight meal. The lounge also includes a wine boutique where you can splurge on last-minute gifts for friends...because they really don’t want another I Heart NY t-shirt.
