Vinas: CLOSED
This new Latin restaurant is heating things up in the formerly tepid area under the Williamsburg Bridge. Although it’s named after the Spanish word for vineyard, Vinas is not your standard Brooklyn wine bar. Sure, you’ll want to pair the Argentinean full-bodied and spicy Quara Tannat with their mildly spicy beef empanada, or the crisp minerality of the Aveleda Vinho Verde with the blood orange escolar on coconut rice—but the funky decor and salsa music secure a casual vibe. The masses haven’t caught on to this hideaway just yet, so chances are there’s a seat at the recycled wood bar waiting for you. |
