Vesta: 
Upscale on the outside, with mysterious metal double doors and a velvet rope, Vesta looks like the latest Meatpacking-migrated-north scene. But once inside, the lounge is reminiscent of one of those people who takes an entire season’s worth of trends and wears them all at once; it’s trying too hard. Recently opened inside the former spot of a doomed restaurant, the no-man’s-land location, overpriced drinks, and trendy-but-not-quite-making-it interior are turn-offs in a neighborhood with so many venues to choose from. The light hardwood floors, airy white, sheer drapery, white vinyl banquettes, and enough psychedelic disco lights to pass as a laser show are thrown off by the row of three widescreen TVs playing behind the bar. Like a frat party crossed with a chi-chi lounge, or a Kahlua and cranberry juice, some things just don’t mix.

NEVER, EVER AGAIN!!

AVOID THIS PLACE ALTOGETHER!
I had a bad experience this past Friday 1/19/07 due to the false advertisement they have on their website. They promised a free cake and champagne if you had a party of 10. Well, we had a party of ten but they wanted to charge us a $25.00 gratuity. It does not state this on their website. The manager, EDDIE, refused to come out and talk to us. We made our reservation via phone (spoke to Eddie) and e-mail and not once did he mention the gratuity (which again, is NOT on their website)....Eddie showed poor customer service and we are NEVER, EVER going there again. We took our party of 10 and went elsewhere. I do not recommend this place to even my worst enemy!
Thumbs down all the way due to poor customer service.
