Vero Wine Bar: 
Vero Wine Bar is a hiding place for those seeking to escape the UES sidewalks that teem with just-out-of-college boys and their loud and bouncy girlfriends. Though Vero is a little more expensive than most of this ‘hoods nearby watering holes, it’s pricelessly quiet and calming. Vero also serves excellent panini, which most of this area’s bar hoppers think of as, “dat funny Italian dude dat won da Oscar.” The cappuccino is superb, especially when topped off with a healthy helping of Bailey’s. The friendly staff and good service help Vero to stand out from the crowd without attracting a crowd of its own. Bravo, Vero!

I couldn't be happier to finally find a place to relax after work without all the tweeny drama that usually haunts this part of town. Vero, regardless of its higher than normal prices, has become my own little wine haven. Whatever the cost, it's well worth your pennies. I havent had this good of red wine since my honeymood in Italy!
