Time Out: Like the Knicks, Time Out is a tiny, low-rent Upper West Side sports dive that at times can be raucous and inviting, and at others creepy and desolate. When there’s a game to be had, be it darts or watching one on the row of side-by-side TVs, the hoots and chatter of the crowd fill the air nicely. But walk in on an off night, and being one of three people in the place can give even the most trusting drinker the heebie-jeebies. Vibe makes or breaks this place. And while they do carry the PBR required by law at every sports dive, they also stock a few higher-end selections. Peek in the window before you cross the threshold, or bring a copy of Sports Illustrated to keep you company. |
