The Press Box: An upscale re-imagining of the sports bar, this news-themed pub features six beers on tap and enough flat-screen plasma TVs to satisfy as many customers as the lengthy bar can hold. With enough polished wood and candlelight to out-class a number of lounges that try too hard for ambience, the Press Box even has a lovely restaurant area in the back for those wanting a TV-free environment. Alas, the price of a little bit of class: $10 martinis and food that will cost you 50% more than where the proletarians watch their sports. But if you’re sticking to the restaurant, or just feel like splurging during a romantic SportsCenter date, go for it. |
