The entrance to The Otheroom is almost shrouded in secrecy for yupster-oenophiles prowling around the outer banks of the West Village. Instead of the Hilary Duff crowd chatting on cell phones, you’ll find cultured yuppies cuddling on comfy couches. Perhaps it’s the low lighting, the fashionable neighborhood, or the sexy staff, but The Otheroom has a sultry je ne sais quoi quality that is envied by surrounding bars. Just remember to leave your credit card at home, and realize that if you can’t close the deal at this den of desire, even Cupid can’t help you.
Excellent neighborhood choice during the week with friendly bartenders and eclectic wine list. Sun - Thurs is a dream, but avoid like the plague on the weekends! It sadly becomes packed with those looking for the "West Village experience" who think screaming at the top of their lungs in conversation is appropriate for a wine bar.
