The Gutter: It’s round, has three holes, and you put your fingers in it…c’mon keep your mind and your balls out of the gutter, which happens to be the name of the first new bowling alley to open in Brooklyn in fifty years. The Gutter (brought to by the friendly folks behind Barcade) offers a nice alternative to the riff raff of the Bedford bar scene, but you can still get down and dirty with pitchers of the 12 microbrews on tap ($18-21) while you wait for one of the eight lanes to open up. Save on drinks during happy hour (Monday-Thursday, 4-8pm and Friday, noon-8pm where you get $1 off drafts and well drinks, $3 off pitchers). Shoes will set you back $4 and games are $6-7 depending on the day of the week, so be prepared to throw down some coin (if you're broke, that is). If you hurry, you may actually get some games in before the hipsters descend en masse.
