The Gallery @ the SoHo Grand: The SoHo Grand is a neighborhood staple. Billing itself as “SoHo’s Living Room,” the hotel has carved out a prestigious place for itself in the NYC social scene. But The Gallery (the low-key sister to the hotel’s Grand Bar) isn’t nearly as happening as one would expect. Looking to rock the night away? Move along, son. The Gallery’s understated, museum-like vibe makes it a great spot for brunch or business, but a hotspot she is not. Stunning modern art and photography adorn the walls, but if you’re looking for an art fix, hit MoMA instead. The Gallery will definitely impress your visiting ’rents, but if you’re looking to get freaky, this ain’t the place. |
