The crowd here is older after-workers and neighborhood locals who all appear to know each other. And someone in the crowd always seems to be celebrating a birthday with a round of shots in lieu of a cake. Works for us! Soccer is on all the screens 90% of the time and there is always a wait at the dartboard and videogame terminals that line the walls. There’s even bar bowling and overhead video trivia. Even with all the activities, it’s difficult to get a seat. And if you do, you’ll spend much of the evening dodging arms reaching for beers, or to shake the bartender’s hand. The staff recognizes newcomers and not in the friendliest way. So don’t be offended if your service is a bit slower and you aren’t invited to the pub’s annual Christmas party. Yes. They have a Christmas party.
