The Evelyn Lounge: Evelyn Lounge is so mellow and subdued you might fear a “ripen and rot” effect on your evening’s mojo. The motif of reds and purples brightened mostly by candlelight suggests laid-back, and by laid-back we mean crickets chirping, nothing happening. Still, this corner lounge, located in an old red brick building with huge arched windows, does have a certain casual class. The coffeehouse vibe of the place makes it a good spot to meet up with some friends without having to resort to trendy nonsense. There’s a small menu consisting mostly of finger food, but the wine list is extensive. The dress code is a bit on the strict side for a lounge of this style, so be warned and tuck your shirt in. |
