The Central Bar:
Sit back, relax by the fireplace, and enjoy the match-of-the-day while sipping a pint of Guinness. Central Bar’s dark wooden floors and maroon-painted walls provide a calm setting; however, come nighttime the atmosphere does a 180 and this Irish pub fills up with a young and rowdy group. The upstairs lounge gives refuge to those who need to escape the stale odor that lingers when the college crowd takes over. Here, the walls turn a lovely shade of green, and a second bar is provided for those not wanting to be pushed around downstairs. This is a great spot to rent out for private parties.
On a Thursday night around 230 am, my girl and I were finishing up our tab and were kissing on one of the back couches. Not making out, not groping, nothing gross. The bartender shouts from across the bar "GIRLS!" (in that mother scolding tone of voice). I ask him what was up and apparently he was worried that the 5 other guys there would get "too excited seeing 2 girls make out" so we needed to stop. We argued and he refused to give his name. I went to college in the area, I mostly go out to straight bars, and I've never encountered anything like that before.

David T. says:
terrible service
While I doubt anyone goes to this bar for the quality of their drinks, the bartenders there are pretty horrible. I had to wait five minutes for my bartender to talk to his friend while he was mixing my drink, and then got called an "asshole" and had my money thrown in my face when it wasn't mixed the way I asked.
