The Brazen Head: Serious beer enthusiasts, courthouse regulars, Brooklyn Law students, and plain old regular people who enjoy a good drink special: You’ll find ’em all at the Brazen Head. This comfortable sports pub, which has a small patio and busy dartboard, prides itself for hosting Brooklyn’s first-and-only real ale cask festival, a popular tri-annual event. All other times, a rotating selection of 15 craft beers is offered on tap—knowledgeable bartenders will give you a taste if you’re uncertain (and nice)—plus two cask-conditioned, hand-pulled beers and extensive Scotch and vodka lists. Nightly events, like Tuesday pint nights, will get you the most bang for your buck, and sometimes even free grub that puts pretzel bowls to shame: wings on Mondays, wine-and-cheese Wednesdays, stew and martini specials on Saturdays, and bagels on Sundays. |
