The Blue Donkey Bar: You know this is a classy joint based solely on the bar’s business card, which urges, “Act like an ass!” Any business that is so blatant about encouraging stupidity is a fine Ameri-can institution. The drink selection here is pretty standard, your usual assortment of do-mestic beer and a handful of wines. However, the munchies menu, which offers peanut butter and jelly, hot dogs, and breakfast all day, by far makes up for anything lacking in the cocktail department. The Blue Donkey is a good find as the service is excellent and the bar, though it appears to be small when you first enter, extends back to include a pool table, arcade games, and even farther back an outdoor patio—plenty of room to act like an ass. |
