The Bell House: In a ramshackle spot between Park Slope and Gowanus, The Bell House appeared one day like a beautiful vision. And since it comes from the folks behind Floyd and Union Hall, that vision is adorably quirky, right down to the vintage wallpaper. The performance space in this former warehouse has 25-foot ceilings and fabulous acoustics, but the front lounge is a destination in itself, with cozy antique couches and odd decorative touches (think a flower-clutching arm-shaped sconce). Here, bartenders dressed in 1940s-Mexico garb (think Dolores del Rio) sling drafts from breweries like Smuttynose and Rogue ($5-6) and cocktails named for beloved albums like the Park Life (Ruby Red Absolut, grapefruit juice, Triple Sec and soda, $7), not to mention tasty DUB Pies ($5). Come for the two-for-one happy hour (weekdays until 8pm), and stay for the awesome shows. Open daily 5pm-4am.
