Superfine: Pimm’s Cup and pork chops...what more could you want? Superfine lives up to its name. DUMBO's restaurant/lounge/bar is where you can make a night of it, and then come back for Bluegrass Brunch. Set in an old brick building, Superfine opens up to a bar area lit with lush hues of red. The open space leads up by ramp or steps to the free pool table and then expands to the dining area with a mishmash of vintage tables and chairs. The seasonal (and mostly organic) menu, American with a Southern and Mediterranean flair, gives diners surprises, but always offers a great selection of fish, meat, poultry, and pasta dishes. They make their own ice cream and the crème brulee was delicious. Prices on meals are mid-range ($9 to $20). They also offer a great selection of specialty drinks. Aside from the Pimm’s Cup, the Dark and Stormy, a ginger beer, and the margarita served in a pint glass were all impressive ($7 and up). Closed on Mondays. |
