Stonehome Wine Bar: Fort Greene foodies, trust fund babies, and middle-aged winos will no doubt trip over themselves (even before the first glass) to hightail it to Stonehome Wine Bar. Chef John Gibson’s menu offers a range of modern Italian dishes as well as cheese and charcuterie (3 for $8, 6 for $15) nibbles. But let’s be honest, you’re going to need a solid foundation once you sneak a peek at the wine list, which contains almost 200 bottles. The 40-foot cherry wood bar gives you plenty of space to sip selected wine flights ($15) suggested by the thoughtful bartenders. Or you can just channel your inner old Italian man and enjoy a glass of grappa on the garden patio outside. Either way, getting blotto here is almost a guarantee. |
