St. Reade Pub: This Irish faithful is pretty run ‘o the mill but its regulars are happy to have it. Above St. Reade Pub’s large list of very cheaply priced beers lies an old toy railroad train track with antique cars. Though the bar has an affinity for the Green, it bleeds Red, White, and Blue, as evidenced by the stars and stripes that lord over various FDNY and NYPD hats. This is a fine little spot that minds its own business, therefore making it a two beer stop on the way to or from somewhere else; the gargantuan basket of fries is a bit more of a commitment. |
