Spunto: When it comes to New York pizza, it often boils down to just two varieties: the gooey kind you'd happily lap up off a sheet of oily wax paper, or the kind that comes bubbling out of Spunto's gas-fired brick oven. The latest in Antonio Gomez and Jonathan Tweedy's pizza empire, Spunto follows in the footsteps of big sisters Posto, Gruppo, and Vezzo, with dim lighting, mosaic flooring, and jukeboxes. Separate entrances help divvy the space into cozy, two-person seating, and a larger dining area, composed of after-work crowds. Domestic and Belgian beers ($5-$8) are ideal for washing down every crackly bite, though there's a full bar and decent wine list, ripe for the imbibing. Open Sun 12pm-11pm, Mon-Thurs 11am-11pm, Fri 11am-12am, Sat 12pm-12am.
