Spring Lounge: Spring Lounge is one of those bars that, pardon our French, always seems to be a clusterfuck. There is perpetually a huddled band of smokers outside and a tightly packed multitude of drunk locals and ex-frat boys inside. In fact, this worn, wooden tavern resembles that favorite pub found in any respectable college town. There are stuffed sharks on the walls (hence the nickname, “Shark Bar”), sports on the TV, lively conversations at full tables, and horny guys at every turn. Around since prohibition, these folks have learned the secret to success: 12 tap lines that open at 8am and a hot bartender who’s taken on close to mythic proportions. But if the stench of desperation and crowds annoy you, better get there early or already drunk. |
