South's: It’s a small world after all, and not just because Irishman John Griffin, Texan Roger Herr, and a chef from Jamaica all wound up at South’s. All three polar-opposite ethnicities are reflected in South’s eclectic (but damn tasty) menu: Fried chicken, crispy catfish, and, of course, shepherd’s pie all vie for the title of “Best with Beer.” The prices are shockingly un-cityfied and the personalities extend further than the food. (South’s is known for its warm, hospitable staff.) Between the Irish drinking, Texan hospitality, and Jamaican relaxation, a night at South’s is more fun than a bucket full of puppies. |
