Simone: Simone provides the perfect spot for a “first date, just finished dinner, not ready to go home together” bar. Flirting can continue over espressos and a delicious raspberry crème brulee, or something can be selected from their extensive wine list. Originally, Simone was confined to beer and wine; however, they now proudly identify themselves as a martini bar. Chandeliers, glowing candles, and mini Chinese lanterns reflect off of the antique mirrors scattered throughout, beaming light up to the red tin ceiling and back down to the black and white tiled floors. Beaded curtains and thin red strings hang over the windows, looking not unlike Madonna’s wrist. The warm and funky atmosphere is topped off with lounge music kept at a comfortable volume, allowing for conversation about where to go next—your place, their place, or into a cold shower. |
