Shore: Shore is as comfy and low-key as an ol’ clam shack where you can shuck shells, eat shrimp, and drink “beeaz” all summer by the “sho’” while watching the Red Sox. At this NYC Shore, though, seafood and beer go together like baseball and pinstripes. Shore speeds up a few knots with a menu of fresh catches and plenty of brews to choose from (served in bottles, pints, and mugs). Don’t worry about the red tide either; “We always get clams from somewheres,” a chef jokingly told an inquisitive customer. Grab a bucket and get your gastronomic patriotism (and a good buzz) on at Shore. Those in-the-know say the wine list is better than expected; but if beer and seafood aren’t on your GPS screen, you’re fishing at the wrong hole. |
