Salt Bar: Salt Bar has all the swank of its sister location, Salt in SoHo, but the similarities end there. Candles cascade over casual, picnic-table-style seating and exposed brick walls. After-work corporates in their button-down collared shirts roll up their sleeves and dig their hands into the fusion fare—house-cured dill pickles and tiger shrimp satay—while rubbing elbows and patting their pocketbooks. Whiskey drinkers flock to the full bar, but there is also a healthy wine menu (okay, maybe not “healthy,” doc, but large). The L-shaped bar attracts couples seeking to whet their appetites with a pinot gris or a “James’s Addiction” martini, the bar’s 007 Smirnoff cocktail tribute to Britain’s sexiest secret agent. |
