Ryan’s Sports Bar: This narrow hovel is a bland stew of the sneaker-and-art-portfolio set fraternizing with the tie-and-stock-portfolio set. The space is very crowded, and too bright to comfortably sulk in a corner. Still, if you can find a spot at the bar to enjoy the friendly service, there are a number of beers to choose from and pub grub is available. Stop by to watch a game, because when the audio selections take over, they are those same three Michael Jackson hits that have long since worn out their welcome (despite the opinions of drunken co-eds). The vibe is more rec room than barroom, but a certain clientele has made it their watering hole for 15 years. |
