Rm.Fifty5 @ The Dream Hotel: Sometimes a room needs to be designed by a trendsetter—sure, dive bars are fun, but you can only take so many cement floors and junked car seats from the 70s before you'll want something…well…classier. Enter Jodi Singleton, known for her Far East-infused rustic leather bracelets, and designing The Dream Hotel's most recent addition. Located on the street level, the joint lacks the views of its more glamorous older sister, Ava Lounge, on the roof of the hotel, but makes up for it with comfort and creative cocktails such as the Gin & Sin and Tiger Lilly, which is garnished with sushi ginger. And if you’re craving something sweet after work, there’s mojito tastings during happy hour. These cocktails are so damn tasty, they could handcuff you to the bar and you wouldn't care as long as you had refills. Er, we'll pass on that hypothetical sitch; perhaps we'll take one of Jodi's bracelets instead. |
