Régate: The myth is simply just a myth: not all of France dislikes Americans. At Régate, a romantic, cozy French cuisine abode, you’d never know the two nations bicker like pre-menstrual teens. That’s because you’ll find one of the friendliest staffs in the entire city. The bartenders and waitstaff are so nuturing, you feel like your mother is uncorking your wine bottle. Maybe it’s the Atlantic Islands-infused menu and atmosphere that makes it a sophisticated, intimate, and romantic setting. The bar is small, but the drink selection is perfect for starting off your night in the hectic LES. The best bet is a round of mussels and the Régate Martini. But if you can’t stand the Frogs, don’t worry...they have burgers too, minus the freedom fries though; there’s only French ones. |
