Yep, Murray Hill spot Rare View makes a definite rare move in this town with its complimentary gourmet snack mix and wasabi peas. Too bad that doesn’t extend to the drinks, which are at least $4-$5 more than you’ll pay at other spots around the city. Try $9 for a Bud on tap, and don’t even question the price of the specialty drinks. You can’t really blame ’em, though—after all, this is a seasonal bar, so they have to make up their money somehow. Once you kick back a few, though, you’ll forget how much you’re spending and just enjoy the uncluttered, striking, and yes, rare views of the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings. |
