Rapture Lounge: This neighborhood gem’s old name, Sofa Lounge, was more fitting, but otherwise God bless the new management, who have maintained a fiercely loyal following with their incredible 2-for-1 happy hour, 5pm-8pm, seven days a week. It’s not unusual to see diehards waiting outside this comfortable living room of a bar at 4:55 to take advantage of that deal. Even in this wintry economic climate, you can afford to double-fist and pick something from the tasty bar food menu. (One satisfied regular swears by the crispy chicken flautas.) Why not let yourself go? Under these dim lights, you look pretty good and, who knows, doomsday could come any second! Open daily 5pm-4am.
