Quigley's:
Welcome to Quigley’s, a green-walled Irish pub a stone’s throw from Stuy-Town. By weekend it’s packed with wives and families, but most nights you’ll find more of a Moe’s Tavern crowd inside. Sports are always on the TV screens and the bartenders will actually lend an ear if you need one. At game time the corner bar gets lively, serving up wings and burgers and opening its door to the neighborhood. On a strip of Manhattan real estate with few bars, Quigley’s gets neighborly love and many regulars. The younger patrons stopping in tend to be locals too, but you don’t have to live nearby to enjoy the secret sweet spot: The back garden is a respite for any New Yorker.
Depressed? Don't Go Here Because It'll Make the Roof Look GOOD!!!
Oh Bernadette you won't go on because you CAN'T.
The bartender has a personality that just exudes "I am only here because UPS woldn't hire me so deal with it." The entire joint has an ambience as welcoming as a public toilet. The barmaid (or crone actually) is a nasty drunk who sits sucking on a whiskey bottle after her shift--do not approach! I learned all this in my 3 tries to have a drink and/or dinner there since they took over the joint. The manager/owner is arrogant and hopeless. He is supposed to a 9-11 hero as if he is the only one in town DUH. Regulars are the most provincial (unfriendly)and uninteresting lot one can encounter in a "pub." I will say that when I was stupid enough to take a seat, buy a drink, and order dinner, that the food was very good. However, I can't imagine that any good chef would suffer such company so I wouldn't count on that happening again. I look forward to when the economy takes them out since I live across the street and hope someone turns it into a nicer place. (Believe me, they earned this review.)

Smells like cheese!
Went in for one drink, took a shot of Jameson, and never going back! It was a Saturday night, there were three old men at one end of the bar, and 2 very unattractive woman at the other end. The smell of parmigiano cheese was literally vomit inducing.
