Prime Burger @ Old Homestead Steakhouse: OK, so maybe NYC doesn’t need another trendy burger joint, but if you park yourself at Prime Burger, Old Homestead’s alfresco cafe, you’re at least guaranteed to enjoy the ‘prime’ people watching. It’s hard to resist neck-craning to gawk at the constant stream of celebrity mugs that trickle in from the West Village. Kind of distracting, actually. Shift your focus to the colossal mojitos, perfect for washing down some choice steer from the menu. It’s kind of refreshing to dine at a place that was there before all the hype, and will hopefully stick around and ride out the bubble dresses, platform wedges, and fitted tees that now infiltrate its streets. Guess there’s more than one reason why this place is a meat market. |
