You can park on a nearby street without being ticketed longer than 4 W. 22nd Street can hold down an identity. In three years the space has morphed from Tiki Room to Star Bar to Prey, and yet retained the same layout, the same design tactics of slapped-on theme details, and essentially the same clientele. A young beer-in-a-bottle or mixed-drink-with-Red-Bull crowd mingles, while large plasma screens display “SportsCenter” and sorority girls find room to dance on the ground level or up in the mezzanine near the DJ booth. If you’re not looking for someone to stumble home with, stop in on Monday-Wednesday for dollar Buds and snack specials like half-price pizzas (regularly $8) or $3 chips and guacamole.
