Pinto: With Thai restaurants popping up all over the city, you would think Angelina was moving to town to keep her brood happy. Sure would get us smiling, but so does this food. Slick, thin, candle-lit, and tagged as a “Nouveau Thai Bistro,” Pinto serves overly creative hybrid dishes and unique specialty drinks such as their signature “Ginger Zinger” (citrus vodka, banana liqueur, and fresh ginger). To compliment your “Zinger” or one of seven bottled beers and nine wines, try the Mee-Crob (an Asian twist on the rice-crispy treat). There’s only a small six-stool L-shaped bar in the front, so if you’re cruising through the Village, make Pinto a spot to grab a few drinks before you do your drunken “Mee-Crawl.” |
