Pedro's is a ray of tropical sunshine in gloomy DUMBO. Hipsters and all, the teeny-tiny, semi-underground bar packs in so much unpretentious fun, it's like a salsa party in your friend's backyard shed. Pedro and his wife can usually be found serving up some of the city's biggest burritos and tastiest Cuban sandwiches, which they pair with beers that are $3 during happy hour! Aye, aye, aye. If low ceilings are getting you down and Thursday night’s jazz band sounds like it’s playing in your ear, grab one of the car-seat booths outside and after a few specialty margaritas you'll think the neighboring concrete lot is "la playa" and the rumble of trains over the Manhattan Bridge is the sound of crashing waves.
