Pazza Notte: Call this place "Pazza Do"—two-for-one martinis are offered here every night, all night long after 6pm. So you get both martinis served to you at once, and they have to be the same flavor—but is that such a bad way to start an evening? (By the way, you don't have to opt for the fruity menu choices, any martini with well liquor applies). The Italian food here is on the pricey side (probably due to the restaurant's location near Central Park), but portions are large. Split a thin-crust goat cheese pizza margherita ($16) and a mixed green salad with truffle vinaigrette ($9) with a friend or two and settle in for some prime people-watching. Between the drink specials and nightly DJs, the bar is packed every night with an after-work crowd that lingers far beyond the usual happy hour. |
