Pasha
Don’t confuse this with Pacha, the beat-thumping orgy of a club in Hell’s Kitchen. In contrast to that club’s sweaty club kids, the atmosphere of this Turkish restaurant is pleasant and its predominant red hue is romantic any time of the year. When less than dinner will do, there are plenty of appetizers and small dishes that make for fine shareable date fare. Pasha’s lounge area is itsy-bitsy, but the inexpensive yet high quality eats, class, and attractive Middle Eastern ambiance go nicely with a bottle of wine. The friendly staff makes it easy for this to become your standby spot when someone suggests doing something “a little different.” Call ahead, particularly on weekends, as it does get crowded quickly.
