Palace Café Inc.: Working class born and bred, this family-owned Polish and Irish bar hasn’t changed much since its conception sometime around when Hoover was in the White House. New locals (aka artists and hipsters) may go for the blue-collar vibe, but the weak selection of cheap domestic beers isn’t likely to impress, beyond being cheap. Still, the bar’s neon beer lights and now-vintage furniture motif give it unexpected allure, and it may be the perfect place to go if you don’t want to see anyone you know…although you might run into Grandpa. |
