Pacific Standard: It’s about time someone brought some Californication (other than the one that you can tivo with boobs and some Duchovny—yum!) to Brooklyn. Sure it’s not near the beach (if you call Coney that), but Pacific Standard at least offers you a spacious bar to take a load off and just chill. If you just can’t shake the New Yorker in you and need to multitask, there’s a library in the back so you can catch up on your reading while you get your drink on. You won’t find any Brooklyn Lager here; instead, the beer selection is heavy on California brews like Sierra Nevada and Lagunitas Imperial Red. Start drinking like you’re on California time and you may just be saying “the west coast is the best coast” by the end of the night. |
