Somewhere there must be a place that regularly pulls in a diverse blend of laid-back gay men and lesbians. Actually, it’s Nowhere. A daily happy hour here from 3pm to 9pm lures gaiety of all types who share one commonality: they’re all free of attitude. But that’s not all that’s free here. On Mondays, the lezzies take over to enjoy a free jukebox, 2-for-1 beers, and what no self-respecting lesbian can resist: a free pool table. Meanwhile, you can expect the smallest crowd on Wednesday—literally, for the bar’s “Runt” party for short gay men who are big on fun. So the next time people tell you that you’re going nowhere, ask them to join you. You’ll all have a blast at this East Village dive.
