What do fashion insiders John Bartlett and Narciso Rodriguez have in common? They both love Eric Uvaydov, owner of East Village barbershop Neighborhood Barbers. At first glance, the shop might seem like a humdrum choice with its three chairs and pole outside. But Uvaydov—the son of a Russian barber—has got a slew of fancy tricks up his sleeve, from mohawks to buzz cuts. And the prices, oh the prices! At only $3 for a shampoo and $24 for a cut and shave (haircut is $14, shave is $10), it sure beats Supercuts. Even figuring out the tip is easy, since tax is included in all prices. This place really is a cut above.
