Only two blocks from Madison Square Garden, it’s worth hitting for the cheap eats and, of course, the beer. Everything from hot Mustang wings ($6.95) to a warm mushroom salad ($9.95) to a 10-oz. filet mignon ($26.95) is available here, in addition to 10 beers on tap. Those coming strictly for the food should head for the mezzanine level, which overlooks the main dining hall and is therefore a bit more private and out of the way. And those who enjoy crowded spaces can suck down a brew while being walled in on all sides by art-deco glass panels downstairs.
